Good Values in Children: Developing A Moral Compass for the Young (Ages 8 to 12 years)

This book has the most radical ending I've ever seen. It's beyond insane. Even though the book builds up to it in a way, you're still not ready for it when it hits you. The main character in this novel is thrown into a strange world, or more accurately a collection of worlds that have twisted logic and often even twisted dimensions. He needs to look for the Original I, a supreme beings who's the only one who can get him back home.

Problem is, no one's ever m An ending that won't leave you alone. Problem is, no one's ever met the Original I — he is too strange and has no dimensions is he supposed to be God? The meeting with the Original I is described as an extreme experience, and the book does a good job of keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout the last few chapters.

The madness starts when the Original I begins to speak.

Paying It Forward: Who Should Pay for Recycling Wasteful Plastic?

You don't know who's insane here: the Original I or the entire world or maybe you yourself for not seeing reality for what it is. Or maybe it's just the book? The characters are very interesting and funny. New ones are introduced every chapter, and they grow progressively more complicated in their feelings and social structure.

If you get bored with one, just wait a few pages and it will be gone and another will show up. This is a strength but also a weakness: there are only three characters that remain with you to the end and two of them not in every chapter. I wished there would be more characters like these.

Sep 15, Leon Chang rated it really liked it. How to best describe this book? It is weird, in a trippy way: ever seen a fantasy book where drunkenness is one of the major themes? The writing is good and engaging though, with lots of comic situations funniest execution scene I ever read: talking horses who have never hurt a fly in their lives try to execute someone but have no idea how to do it, and end up blaming the condemned for not helping them.

It is also full of int How to best describe this book? It is also full of interesting twists and surprises. The style is somewhat inconsistent, though: some chapters read almost as if this was a children's book, while others are very complex and not easy to understand the 2D world, the extra-dimensions world, and the Unbearable Nowhere to name a few.

Maybe this is done on purpose: makes you let your guard down and then hits you with something mind-boggling when you least suspect it. The characters are very interesting and original.

There are almost too many of them for just one book. They come in every shape, size, and species. Even 2 dimensional beings. Most of them are half insane, which makes for very entertaining dialogs.

Overall, it is one of the most original, imaginative, and unique books out there. Well written and well structured. I'm knocking off one star for it being TOO over the top. Apr 02, Kathryn rated it it was amazing Shelves: fiction , time-travel. Time travel is a new obsession of mine.

I really loved this book. Its a bit wacky and crazy, but really just a lot of fun. Throughout all the craziness and traveling through time and dimensions I think the main character realizes that he is interesting, smart and over all a good worthwhile person. I love stuff like that. Just be careful and don't jump into any one dimensional water! Dec 03, Mark Lacy rated it did not like it Shelves: abandoned. Too strange, couldn't tell where it was going, wasn't enjoying it.
